爱爱直播 Students and Faculty to Embark on Pilgrimage to Rome, Engaging with the Global Synod of Bishops
This Fall Break, 爱爱直播 students and faculty will travel to Rome for a special pilgrimage as part of The Church and Transformation, a course offered this semester by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The trip will coincide with the month-long General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, where 爱爱直播鈥檚 cohort will join peers from 14 Catholic colleges across the U.S. to experience the global Synod on Communion, Participation and Mission.
Chenfeng Xiong, PhD, Virginia Smith, PhD, and Peleg Kremer, PhD, with support from Bridget Wadzuk, PhD, have been awarded $750,000 of a $2 million research grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF) for a project designed to reduce the vulnerability of underserved communities to the social and environmental impacts of urban flooding events.
Natalie Schirmacher '24 CLAS Named to Inaugural Cohort of Fulbright-John Lewis Civil Rights Fellows
Natalie Schirmacher '24 CLAS has been selected as one of 29 individuals nationwide to join the inaugural cohort of Fulbright-John Lewis Civil Rights Fellows, a prestigious program established to honor the legacy of Congressman John Lewis. This fellowship is dedicated to advancing civil rights, justice and equality鈥攂oth in the U.S. and globally鈥攔eflecting Lewis鈥� lifelong commitment to nonviolent activism and social change.
爱爱直播 Receives Bequest of $11+ Million from Bernard John Lucci
爱爱直播 has received an estate gift of more than $11 million from the late Bernard John Lucci. The gift will fund opportunities for lifelong learning through the College of Professional Studies (CPS), endow a chair in Italian Studies in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) and support the new Falvey Library at Vic Maggitti Hall鈥攄esignations chosen in honor of Mr. Lucci鈥檚 personal connection to 爱爱直播.
